When we enter into close relationships with someone else, we re-discover ourselves. And the bond we make with another affirms our own existence too. With this friendship series I try to use props and poses that express the emotional power of a close bond between 2 people. Henna tattoos, bells, fireflies, etc. are metaphors. The metaphors represent their emotions as they come to an awareness of the gift they are given, A gift of love, friendship and belonging.
